"Saúde no Limite da Dor [Health on the Edge of Pain]" is a documentary series produced by the Department of Public Health Emergencies (DEMSP) at the Ministry of Health of Brazil. The series focuses on the lessons learnt from the Unified Health System's (SUS) response to the emergency caused by a fire at nightclub called "Boate Kiss", in January 2013. This was one of the largest public health emergencies attended by SUS, leaving a historic legacy of change in the way these events are treated.
The documentary features interviews with professionals who worked at various levels of management and in field response. The espisodes are available on the Ministry of Health YouTube channel.
For this project, I created the visual identity, art direction, and executive production. The illustrations are by Daniel Lopes.
I also photographed the releases in Santa Maria—RS and Porto Alegre—RS.
